Not so much a place for my thoughts but a place to share some work…
Variety is the spice of life which is why I like to photograph more than just one genre. Here are some of the past jobs that I did including weddings, engagements, maternity, studio creative and boudoir.
Portrait Session with my Parents
Had the opportunity to photograph my parents at the new shop the other day. To create separation from the subject and background, I turned the lights off in the garage and opened up the bay door to be used as the main light source.
Kailey Maternity Shoot
Now that I have been a photographer for a few years, I can honestly say that one of my favourite types of shoots to take part in is maternity. Although I've taken lots of great photos, there is something beautiful about an expecting mother that seems to shine through each shot.
Parker Wedding
Meet the Parkers! This wedding was a blast to cover and had all the elements to give it a classic look. Everyone was in great spirits and we even got a few risky photos of the dudes showing off their suspenders!
Colleen & Liam's Wedding at Ivey Spencer
When I’m not shooting my own weddings or portrait sessions, I always enjoy getting out and working with other photographers! On this day, I had the pleasure of working with Darren Hatt to document Colleen & Liam’s wedding which took place in London at the Ivey Spencer Leadership Centre. The place was beautiful and I had a great time hanging out with Liam and the guys before the I do’s! Here are a few shots from the big day!
Wedding at the Brookside Banquet Centre
A nice perk to being a wedding photographer is that you always get to meet new people and discover great venues around the city. Missy and Michael’s wedding was no exception. I started the day off by hanging out with the guys and documenting their wedding prep. We then headed to The Brookside Banquet Centre in London, where both the ceremony and reception would take place.
Couple's Portrait Session Downtown London
Every once in awhile I like to get out and look for new places to shoot weddings. With a marriage coming up at the Hilton Double Tree downtown London, I decided to call on some friends to explore the area while doing test shots.
Engagement Session at the CASO Station St. Thomas
All I can say is wow! I did a studio shoot with Chloe and Rob a year ago and was so impressed with how well these two work together to pull off some amazing acro yoga. So naturally when I had an opportunity to do an engagement session with them I jumped at the chance!
Wedding at the Double Tree Hilton in London
A great perk of being a photographer is meeting so many awesome people. Tin & Josh were no exception, from the first time we met at their engagement shoot, right up until the moment we parted ways on their wedding night, they were both really friendly and fun to hang out with!
Brittany and Mark's Engagement Session
Just before our first snow fall I got a chance to hang out with Mark & Brittany to do their engagement session photos. It took place just outside of Aylmer at their family farm which just so happens to be the same place they will be getting married in 2020!
Wedding at Springford Church and Que Du Vin Winery
I feel like lately weddings have been taking a new more intimate approach. Instead of catering to every connection to friends and family, I’ve noticed a trend where ceremonies could have 30 invites. This is exactly the case with Susie and Joey.
Katelyn & Angelo's Wedding at La Salette
Katelyn and Angelo are a couple that just love to have fun. Just moments after meeting the both of them I could tell that they were the perfect mach for each other!
Jeff & Laura's Wedding: Springbank Park - Boler Mountain, London
What an amazing couple! Not only did they look like rockstars but they were so much fun to hang out with! I started out by hanging with the guys at their home then met up with everyone at Springbank Park in London for their first look. We couldn’t of asked for a better time to shoot since the magnolia’s were in full bloom! It was beautiful!
Willow Creek Barn Wedding
Willow Creek, just outside of London Ontario was the host to this beautiful union of Devon and Sarah. The weather was great and everyone was super excited to see these two walk down the aisle and weren’t shy when it came to letting loose at the end of the night!
Creative Barber Shoot
When you dive into the photography world you often run into some very talented artist. This shoot was no exception. I worked with Jameson a while back for the first time to do a hair competition shoot for the Contessa Awards by Salon Magazine. Also on set was the Tory doing makeup.
Crystal Portrait Session
Portrait work will always be a favourite of mine because with practice, you can really capture someones personality. Plus, it is a skill that can be applied to many different photo styles.
Engagement Shoot at Fernwood Hills, London.
We lucked out big time with the weather on this shoot! This winter seems to be all over the place, raining one day, storming the other. Fortunately we woke up this Saturday morning to white fluffy stuff falling from the sky.
Fitness Portraits with Jill
There is something about fitness photography that really stands out to me. It may be that the client has a certain confidence to them or possibly that they are proud of what they have accomplished over years of hard training. Either way, when I had the opportunity to go down to the local gym to photograph Jill, I was there in a second.
Leigha Studio Portraits
I had the pleasure of photographing this aspiring actress to shoot some portraits and headshots to add to her portfolio. Although it was Leigha’s first shoot, she was a natural when it came to posing so it didn’t take long for her to warm up to the camera.
Lauren’s NAHA Hair Submission
This shoot was so much fun and I still can't get over how talented Lauren is. Everything was done over 3 nights with our kids in bed. Hair, Makeup and Modelling was all done by Lauren.
An Elegant Wedding at Windermere Manor
Every once in awhile I get the opportunity to work with fellow wedding photographer Darren Hatt as a second shooter. My wife and I had fallen in love with his work so we hired him to photograph our wedding. Through our meet ups we started to click and since our styles are somewhat similar I got the invite! I always love the capturing weddings plus there is always lots to learn and pick up on working with a talented artist.
